  In Raglan Village, this 16th - century inn is close to the medieval castle, between Usk and the Wye Valley, well placed for the A40. It offers AA - Rosette dining, good wines, real ales and free internet. The award - winning Beaufort Arms Coaching Inn & Brasserie. Run by the young owners and their friendly staff, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. The inn mixes modern comforts with original features such as oak beams, slate floors, a large open fireplace and a hand - carved bar. The stylish en suite rooms have Egyptian - cotton sheets and goose - down duvets. There are flat - screen TVs, bath/body lotions and tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Many have country views. Fresh, local produce are used in the wide variety of dishes. Breads, pastries and ice creams are made in house. Dine in the brasserie, lounge, private dining room, or on the south - facing terrace.
