Established for well over 200 years, our hotel takes its name from the 19th century English Romantic poet, Percy Bysshe Shelley, who honeymooned at the cottage (then known locally as Mrs. Hooper's Lodgings), with Harriet Westbrook. Shelley's is an award - winning hotel and a 'Hotel of the Year 04', and commands spectacular, breathtaking sea views across Lynmouth Bay. The hotel itself has been sympathetically refurbished to create a warm, friendly and welcoming ambience. We have lovingly restored the hotel to a very high standard throughout, and under our personal supervision it has developed its own unique character, elegance and style that come from attention to detail and precise service. As a valued guest, our aim is to make your stay with us truly memorable. Shelley's is located on the main road in the centre of the village, close to Glen Lyne Gorge and overlooking Lynmouth Bay. Please unload luggage at the drop - off point in front of Shelley's before parking. The hotel offers en suite bedrooms and early/late check - in and check - out.
