The hotel was built over 100 years ago. The original owner used to row workers across the Tyne to Newcastle, hence the hotel's name. Today, the hotel's cosy wooden interiors recreate the feel of a passenger ship. The hotel has a restaurant and bar and you can relax in the lounge or in the conservatory.
